hello
I'm writing because i have some network problems with one of my ESXi 4.1 host. The thing is that in Inventory, near one of host ESX01 ther is exclamation mark. The alarm is "Network connectivy lost" I also gets emails:
Alarm Definition:
([Event alarm expression: Lost Network Connectivity; Status = Red])
Event details:
Lost network connectivity on virtual switch "vSwitch1". Physical NIC vmnic1 is down. Affected portgroups:"Service Console 2", "VMkernel vMotion 2".
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All vms on that host can acces internet without any problems. I was checking ESX console ( unfortunately after info that network connectivity restored) and everything seems ok , also esxcfg-nics -l - show that all interfaces are up .
I got 3 host in cluster (ESX 4.1) each with 4 interface - 2 management and 2 for virtual machine - both of them are active
I also get that kind of errors in task and events :
1)Alarm 'Network connectivity lost' on esx01. triggered an action
2)Alarm 'Network connectivity lost': an SNMP trap for entity esx01 was
3)Lost network connectivity on virtual switch "vSwitch1". Physical NIC vmnic1 is down. Affected
portgroups:"Service Console 2", "VMkernel vMotion 2
and after some time info :
Network connectivity restored on virtual switch "vSwitch1", portgroups: "Service Console 2", "VMkernel
Do you know what can be a reason , or where to start searching for answer ?
