We recently purchased some new machines which use Intel Ethernet Server Adapter X540-T2 cards. I see these on the HCL and some drivers list iBFT support some versions of the driver do not.
The rest of our cluster and our vCenter server is running 5.0.0 and we're not in a place to upgrade it at the moment. I'm able to get iSCSI boot to work with 5.1.0U2, the disk shows up during install without issue. On 5.0.0U3 the disk does not show up and I'm wondering what steps I might take to troubleshoot this further. Is there a way to escape the install interface and drop to a shell where I might look for passed iBFT parameters or driver issues?
Or perhaps is there a way I can try to pull the driver from the 5.1.0U2 driver and install it into the 5.0.0U3 installer ISO?
