Thanks for the reply.

 

The text from my original post was just a copy/paste from VMware documentation.  So it doesn't match my current hardware.  I just included it as an example of what I believe should be possible.

 

I have viewed the model information from the scsidevs command.  My SD card shows the following information...

 

device type: direct-access

display name: local usb direct-access (mpx.vmhba32:c0:t0:l0)

Vendor: HP iLO

Model: Internal SD-Card

 

I have tried using the following.

--firstdisk=SD-Card

--firstdisk=SD-Card

--firstdisk=Internal SD-Card

 

Each time the install fails with the following error.

Install --firstdisk specificed but no suitable disk was found.  So it doesnt like the model listed as a first disk type.
