Re: vsphere web client displaying empty inventory

Not in any way shape or form am I attempting to hijack this thread, just cannot seem to find a submit button to create a thread for my question and was brought here after searching. I am very new to Virtualization and our group was handed a Duplexed HA vSphere setup running 5.5 - I am super excited to learn this stuff, recently the DCenter Group performed maintenance and we lost some of our production VMs, we were able to add the vmdks back into inventory but my question is - without actively counting and hunting datastores - is there a way to;

perform pre-maintenance checks, aside from system and looking at the count of DStores, Hosts and VMs - Could I pull a system log per data center with VM, which host they land on and what data stores they tie to? sort of a pre-maintenance verification that could be re-run and verified against.

If adding a post enables my feature to create a post I will copy and past that into a new post. Otherwise how do I create an individual post? Thanks in advance,

*Edit* enabled my function for starting a discussion, thanks and I apologize
