Have Several VM's running a custom Ubuntu Kernel that are disconnecting the required ports

So here is my dilemma:

I have 1 specific VM that requires port 9080 and 443 to be accessible to it from outside the ESXI hardware.  If I attempt to connect from another VM on the esxi host I have no problem.  I can telnet and connect to both ports without issue, never fails.  However if I try to connect from teh same network, but outside the esxi host it will randomly be able to connect, but the connection will severe within a few minutes to a couple hours.  I need this port to be open and available at all times to any machine locally or publicly.

I have gone into the shell and unloaded the firewall on the host esxi server.  I have placed the VM with problems onto it's own dedicated physical nic (just to troubleshoot)

Any thoughts or suggestions?
