Hi,
I booted the latest ESXi 5 image from a USB and installed it (to the same USB stick).
Once ESXi has been installed, it will not boot at all.
When trying to start it just flickers a quick black screen and the computer reboots.
There is no text nor any visual queues that the boot sequence of ESXi started.
If I take the same USB stick put it in any other computer I see the boot sequence starting.
I'm using a mainboard (with latest Bios): Asus h87i-plus
I can boot all kinds of stuff without an issue (Win 8, Openindiana, ESXI installer). So it seems to be an issue only with the installed ESXi version.
Any idea ? I would have expected it to at least start booting and if my hw is not compatible to give me all sorts of errors.
But not getting anything is tough to troubleshoot
