That pointed me in the right direction.  I set my IE to bypass proxy server for local settings and then I was good to go with Firefox and Chrome!Thanks

Did you already check the mentioned ssoreg log file? Also ensure that DNS as well as Reverse-DNS lookup for vCenter Server works. André

Some of the free Hypervisor version (ESXi 5.0, 5.1) were limited to 32GB physical memory. Maybe that's what your friends were thinking of. With ESXi 5.5 this limitation has been removed. André
