If VMware called it a bug in 5.5.0 i'm sure they fixed it in either 5.5.0a or 5.5.0b. If you could remember the iisue you will find it in either of the release notes under fixed issues.Hope that helps.

You are spot on with your comments. There is no need for you to upgrade to version 10 if you don't need them. That's why VMware is now calling it VM Compatibility level rather than Virtual Hardware....
