Hi,
I upgraded to vSphere 5.5 with no problems some months ago without completing with the SSO installation (I continued using vSphere Client 5.5 to access my VCenter server).
In the holidays I decided to install and try VSphere 5.5 Web Client, hence I started by completing the SSO installation and proceeded with the Web Client.
This gave me two issues:
1. When starting the Web Client it accepts the SSO credentials, however it displays an empty VSphere environment. I see many users experience exactly this. What is the latest news to remedy this?
2. For two days after installing SSO and Web Client I could use and successfully log in through my former VSphere 5.5 Client using my vmware username / password I used before adding SSO. After two days the VShpere Client no longer accepted neither my old client username / password nor the new SSO username / password.
We run the ESX host and VCenter Server management network in a private subnet which has no windows domain controllers to authenticate. The VCenter Server is indeed a member of a local windows domain accessible via routing at another subnet. However I used the default 'vsphere.local' as SSO domain. I don't know if that can be the reason of my problem. In any case I wondered if the old credentials suddenly stopped working after two days...
What do you suggest that I do to both be able to use my old VSphere 5.5 Client and the new Web Client?
Thanks for help on this
regards Tor
