Guy before me
1. Created new vCenter 4.1 with an evaluation license
2. Added some existing 3.5.1 hosts that get their licenses from two different license servers that exist elsewhere.
3. Later added new 4.1 hosts using evaluation licenses
Then I come into the picture and:
4. applied permanent licenses to 4.1 hosts
5. Now trying to add vCenter Standard license but get
"The following error(s) occurred when applying your changes:
Cannot complete the license assignment operation
The license on vCenter Server <myserver.mydomain> cannot be changed to vCenter Server 4 Standard. The vcenter Server with vCenter Server 4 Standard license needs access to a license server before it can manage hosts in the inventory. Update the configuration of the vCenter Server to include the license server."
I've got just a few more days on the vCenter evaluation license. How do I "Update the configuration of the vCenter Server to include the license server"?
