ESXi 5.5 installation (error/warning) log file?

I'm using the kickstart file to somewhat automate the installation of ESXi hosts.  At the very end of the installation, there is a small black box with the message stating there were warnings with the installation and to check the log files; it stays up for about 15-20 seconds before the system reboots (reboot is the last command in the ks.cfg file).  Which log file should I be viewing for installation errors/warnings?

There are no apparent issues with the installation.  The installation is going to an SD card, and the install will complain about "no VMFS partitions found" if I use the --overwritevmfs switch.  I took those switches out and there are no errors except for the end.  Also before the end it will momentarily flash up a warning in red letters; it comes up to quickly to decipher but I notice the text "persistent storage".  Since the SD card are less than 4GB they cannot hold the scratch log files.  Perhaps this is the "warning"?  In any case I'd like to review the log to confirm.
