Installing vCenter Server 5.5 Simple Install for Customer - Not Connected to Active Directory Yet.

I need to Install vCenter Server 5.5 for a Customer so I can setup my Datacenter and Clusters, though the vCenter Server is not Joined to an Active Directory domain Yet. 

1) Should I Install the Simple Install (SSO, inventory, Server) and then Later Add to domain and Fix SSO groups for AD?

2) Just install vCenter Server and let the customer do the SSO install at a later point? Can this be done?

So far I have done the Simple Install and I cannot Connect with the vSphere Client, I get a Permission Denied.  I can login via the WebClient. Looks like from there I can Fix the security Perms for the vSphere Client.
