Here is link to download correct patch to upgrade from 4.1 to 4.1U3

http://www.vmware.com/patchmgr/findPatch.portal

Select ESX and 4.1 and hit search

Then you will see link to download file by name "update-from-esx4.1-4.1_update03 "
