There isn't an option to start the CIM service listed. Only on the 5,5 Host That's the issue. That said using a 5.5U1 Vcenter there isn't that option either for a 4.1 Host

Did you mean, Under Firewall properties, CIM server is not listed?If it is listed, down there is Options tab. Click on it and press Restart.

Yes its not listed for the 4.1 host only the 5.5 host. This however is the same in a Vcenter Server 5.5U1a which does work fine. See screenshot This is the same tab but the 5.5 Host
